SOUTH AFRICA
With direct flights to Capetown between the months of October and March the interest for Golf Holidays to South Africa has multiplied in the last two years. Being in the southern hemisphere means of course South Africa has opposite seasons to ourselves, December to February being the warmest months and June to August the coolest. To make it easier for you we have lsited the golf courses regionally.

Capetown itself which is set at the foot of the famous Table Mountain, comprises of modern skyscrapers that stand alongside the old colonial buildings creating one of the most stunningly beautiful cities in the world. The Victoria and Alfred waterfront is now a focal point of the city offering a variety of shops, restaurants and theatres frequented by both locals and tourists and many of the Hotels offer complimentary shuttle buses to the waterfront.Capetown is a wonderful base to explore the surrounding countryside and vineyards. Outside the city, a one-hour drive takes you to some of South Africa’s most famous vineyards and golf courses such as Constantia, Stellenbosch and Pearl. Just over 30 miles south of the city you will reach Cape of Good Hope where the two Oceans, Atlantic and Indian meet. Visits to Robben Island, Hermanus, and the cable car journey up Table Mountain are a must.

A few hours east of Cape Town will bring you to Mossel Bay, the start of the Garden Route. The route continues Eastwards until Port Elizabeth with many stops along route are certainly recommended as the drive hours. These will include Oudthoorn, Knysna Game Reserve(where you will see the Big 5), Plettenberg, Tsitsikamma and George.
